Panang is a variant of Thai red curry. Some people believe that Panang is a southern dish with Malay influence. Others argue that it is a dish from the central region which had been adapted from grilled Panang chicken. Either way, this curry is known for its creamy spicy sauce due to its use of coconut cream and red chilies. It has an exotic flavour that is enhanced by kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, basil and other spices.
